Bio: Kate currently serves as a Strategy & Analytics Manager based in Deloitte’s Chicago office. She helps clients navigate the complex life sciences and health care ecosystem and takes a strategic and holistic approach, led by inquiry and supported (not constrained) by data, to identifying and responding to their business opportunities and challenges.  Kate currently focuses on Life Sciences Research & Development and Commercial services, supporting large pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies as well as start-up companies in the areas of Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Precision Health. She also has extensive experience serving health care provider clients including multi-state health systems, top 10 academic medical centers, and Veterans Affairs supporting supply chain, ERP, strategy, alliances and innovation efforts.  Kate was Deloitte’s Chief of Staff for the National Health Care Provider Consulting Practice between 2013-2018. Prior to joining Deloitte, Kate held positions at Takeda Global R&D, Inc., Baxter Healthcare Corp., TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc., Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine, Illinois Academy of Family Physicians, and National Council for Prescription Drug Programs, among others.

 

Kate is a published author and lecturer, and frequently delivers presentations on emerging trends in life sciences and healthcare, and career planning strategies. She earned a BA in economics and a minor in business administration from Washington University in Saint Louis. Kate lived in the Asia-Pacific region for 6 years and speaks conversational Japanese. Kate splits time between Chicago and New York, and loves social entrepreneurship, writing, traveling, macrobiotic cooking, and yoga.
