Lynn has devoted her 35+-year legal career to helping innovators achieve their goals. She advises startups to Fortune 100 companies on governance matters and risk management, and facilitates a wide range of strategic corporate and commercial transactions. She is the New York partner-in-charge for Davis Wright Tremaine LLP.
Throughout Lynn’s professional life, she has been an avid advocate for the advancement of women. She founded Davis Wright Tremaine’s Project W with the mission of providing the tools, connections, and expertise necessary for women entrepreneurs to build great companies and women executives to build successful careers. Project W’s flagship program, WEB (Women Entrepreneurs Boot Camp), brings a select group of female founders together with investors and experienced executives for a daylong series of workshops and break-out sessions designed to take women-led seed-stage tech companies to the next level. Since its inception, Project W has grown into a multifaceted initiative, comprising pitch sessions, forums, and four industry-based communities holding regular networking events, all intended to help unlock women’s potential to excel. With its roots in New York, Project W is now a national platform with alliances with like-minded groups around the country, including Springboard Enterprises, and with the participation of committed women lawyers at five of Davis Wright Tremaine’s largest offices.
Just as she is passionate about a future where more women run companies, Lynn also seeks to promote the advancement of women in our cultural life. Her quarterly salon, Women + Art, is a gathering place for women from all artistic disciplines and women exploring the convergence of art and technology. She also underwrites commissions of new work by women composers.
Lynn is the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Santa Fe Opera, and she is the Chair of the Board of Directors of Beth Morrison Projects, which commissions, develops and produces cutting-edge contemporary opera theater and multi-media concert works.
An active angel investor, Lynn is proud to invest in companies founded by women and people of color.
