Shweta comes to Genentech from Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio where she was the Director for The Center for Minimally Invasive Therapeutics (CMIT). At Summa she was responsible for fostering internal and external partnerships for commercial, research and educational projects and providing strategic support to investigators with manuscript, abstract and grant preparation/submission. Prior to Summa, Shweta was with the Austen BioInnovation Institute (ABIA) in Akron, Ohio where she partnered in generating more than 70 invention disclosures with the ABIA partnership. She was responsible for evaluating and managing a portfolio of proprietary life science technologies and developing and executing commercialization strategies. Shweta spent her early career with world-class research institutions including the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio) and Scripps Clinic (La Jolla, California).
