Avanlee Christine is the founder and CEO of Avanlee Care, a healthcare company focused on bringing unpaid family caregivers into the healthcare system. Avanlee Care works with Medicare Advantage plans to identify and engage the family members who often manage an older adult’s care at home, connecting them to care coordination, preventive care, medication adherence, and other programs that can improve health outcomes.
Christine founded Avanlee Care after spending years working with health plans and healthcare organizations and seeing firsthand how much responsibility falls on family caregivers, despite how disconnected they remain from the healthcare system. Under her leadership, Avanlee Care has built partnerships with national organizations including Walmart and Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drugs and is expanding its work with health plans across the country.
Avanlee Care was founded in Montana, where Christine built and raised venture capital for the company. As the business has grown nationally, she has expanded Avanlee Care’s presence to New York City while maintaining the company’s Montana roots.
Christine was named one of Inc.’s 40 Business Leaders of the Year and one of Inc.’s Female Founders 250. She is also a contributor to Fortune, where she writes about caregiving and the role family caregivers play in the U.S. healthcare system.
Prior to founding Avanlee Care, Christine served as Director of Sales at Forcura, where she was part of the company’s early growth into a leading post-acute healthcare technology platform. She is passionate about building a healthcare system that recognizes family caregivers as an important part of the care team and creating more opportunities for women to build and lead companies in healthcare and technology.
