Gigi Wang has had a broad range of responsibilities over more than 30 years in the technology and market research industries. She had operational P&L responsibility since the 1990s leading multinational teams across multiple continents. Throughout her career, she focused on growth and operational efficiency of her business units. Most recently, Gigi was the CEO of Invoke, a real time testing platform for video content. During her tenure she focused the company on the media and entertainment sector and established the company as one of the first to use a technology-based solution for testing TV/film/streaming content. She then led the sale of the company to MarketCast. Prior to that, Gigi led Academic Management Systems, a course evaluation platform. At the time, it was the only evaluation system that could accommodate experiential learning, i.e., internships and medical rotations. Under her leadership the company updated the platform and introduced a new subscription model which resulted in a dramatic reduction in end to end operational costs. She led the sale of the company to Campus Labs. In one of her earlier roles, as SVP at IDC, a global technology market analysis firm, she led her teams through double digit growth annually. She received an award for leading her business unit to achieve the highest profit margin in the company. She also served on the operational boards of ComputerWorld and Network World publications. Gigi holds a B.S. in Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
