Lavanya Anandan is an investor and operator with over 15 years of experience scaling life
science and biotech ventures. Currently, she serves as an Executive in Residence (XIR) at
UCSF Innovation Ventures and is an active angel investor focused on TechBio and women’s
health. Previously, as Head of New Ventures at the Merck Group, Lavanya managed a $40M
innovation portfolio and drove the commercialization of multiple transformative platforms,
contributing to over $1B in enterprise value. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and serves
as a strategic advisor to over 10 early-stage startups and accelerators.
