Springboard 2000 Enterprises, Inc. is a nonprofit organization designated 501(c)(3) by the IRS #52-2266068.
Origins and Growth of an Organization
In 1999, co-founders Kay Koplovitz and Amy Millman joined forces and formed the first Springboard bootcamp with the intention of tackling the founder pipeline and the investor challenges women-led businesses faced. This culminated in Springboard’s first demo day in 2000 where 22 out of the 26 participants received funding.
Buoyed by such favorable results, Springboard’s co-founders were motivated to mature the juvenile program and reach the goal of identifying high-potential founders and connecting them with the capital necessary to scale their business. Our founders spent the next two decades developing the Springboard mission and growing the platform from a singular, traditional accelerator structure to one that supports a number of industry focuses and verticals.
Springboard has become a leading, driving force in the female-founder ecosystem and has the track record to prove it.
