Athena is a healthcare investor based in B Capital’s San Francisco office, where she focuses on opportunities in digital health and healthcare IT. She has dedicated time to sectors including, but not limited to, women’s health, new models of care delivery, the intersection of healthcare and fintech, revenue cycle management, and real-world evidence.
She joined B Capital from Partners Capital, an outsourced chief investment office, where she constructed and managed multi-asset class portfolios on behalf of endowments, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Prior to Partners Capital, Athena was a consultant in Accenture Strategy’s Health and Public Services practice, where she supported life sciences and payer clients in operating model development, growth strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
A New York native, Athena graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management, with a concentration in Healthcare Economics. During her time at Cornell, she was also part of Dr. David Smith’s Laboratory of Neurology in Learning and Memory, where she focused on assessing the roles of the retrosplenial cortex and hippocampus in spatial memory formation.
