Eileen Heffernan is an Entrepreneurial Life Sciences Executive with more than 25 years of Business Development experience in licensing and commercializing cutting edge healthcare technologies in a variety of clinical and scientific areas including: Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, Pulmonology, Medical Imaging, Immunology, Molecular Genetics and Gene Therapy. She has negotiated the sale of various businesses, subsidiaries and product lines to companies including, SmithKline, Pasteur Merieux, Sanofi, Merck, Athena Neurosciences, North American Scientific, and Iona Technologies.
Ms. Heffernan has strategic program management experience for therapeutic and diagnostic clinical programs in the United States and internationally. She has been responsible for the successful development of many clinical programs in compliance with the FDA, including writing INDs, Clinical Trial Agreements, IRB Submissions, subcontracting with clinical labs, CRO’s and toxicology labs. Operationally she has brought over 20 diagnostic and therapeutic technologies through clinical programs and launched them as healthcare products. She enjoys the interface between medical research and commercial application of inventions.
