Deanna Angello is a seasoned Life Sciences Executive, Healthcare Startup Advisor, and Investor whose experience spans biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, therapeutic platforms, and tech-enabled analytics. With 20+ years across Pfizer, Genentech/Roche, Kite/Gilead, and Johnson & Johnson in Commercial roles of increasing responsibility, Deanna has extensive commercialization, marketing, strategy, operations, and patient advocacy experience – centered on scaling, transforming, and growing sustainable businesses, from startups to large companies. She leverages the breadth and depth of her industry experience, proven ability to pivot strategies, to deliver on critical transformations and to drive the launch and growth of $1B+ brands.
Her work as an advisor and mentor keeps Deanna close to the latest innovations and trends in healthcare and technology. She is a mentor in Applied Therapeutics for Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), a global incubator for seed-stage, science-based companies. Deanna also serves as a judge for George Washington University’s New Venture Competition for Healthcare and Life Sciences. Passionate about proactive healthcare, she is an investor in the Active Aging and Longevity Fund at Portfolia.
She holds an MBA degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, as well as a BS degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Deanna is a member of CHIEF, the largest network of senior executive women representing more than 10,000 companies and 77% of the Fortune 100. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, a patient advocacy organization for frontotemporal dementia.
Deanna is an avid mountain climber, hiker, triathlete, and marathon runner. In addition to Mt. Everest, she has hiked other famous ranges around the world. She raised more than $75K for dementia and cancer research through multiple marathons, half marathons, triathlons, and endurance races.
