Suzanne I. Szymanski is an accomplished business leader who has spent over four decades in the field of science and business. Suzanne is the Co-founder of SzyWalk LLC, a management consulting business in Naples, Florida, for start-up to mid-market companies in the Biotech, Pharma, Med Devices, and Consumer industries to achieve sustainable and profitable growth. SzyWalk LLC offers strategy and organic and inorganic growth consulting services to shepherd growth plans and perform all M&A stages. Suzanne is Board of Trustee at Wheaton College, Norton, MA and holds various advisory roles, including serving as a Principal Advisor to Universe Equity Partners and Vonco Products, an Advisor to an AI drug design company and a biotech start-up, and a Life Science Advisor and Digital Council member for Springboard Enterprises supporting women-led start-ups. Suzanne’s professional career centered at Johnson & Johnson, where she spent more than two decades working in various leadership roles across all three J&J sectors, including Medical Devices, Consumer, and Pharmaceuticals. As a champion of disruptive innovation, Suzanne developed strategies and launched numerous new businesses, Joint Ventures, Subsidiaries, Lines of Business, and dozens of new products. Suzanne has a deep understanding of organizational change management and has mentored and coached dozens of diverse talents, with an emphasis on women and minorities. In her most recent role as VP of Business Development and Global Head of Consumer Business Development Operations and Alliance Management at J&J, Suzanne was responsible for overseeing due diligence, integration, and alliance management process excellence/best practices for the Consumer M&A function. She also led the inorganic growth strategy process across all Consumer franchises and spearheaded the implementation of M&A project and CRM software systems. During this time, the J&J Consumer BD team’s transactions in 2016 were valued at over $3bn. Suzanne graduated Summa Cum Laude with an undergraduate degree in Biology from Wheaton College, Norton, MA, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds an MBA degree from the Krannert School of Business, Purdue University. Suzanne is an accomplished thought leader and has served as a panelist/keynote speaker at numerous internal and external events on a broad range of topics, including start-up funding, the diagnostics and medical device industry, and leadership development. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Wheaton College, Norton, MA, mentors young leaders, and has a passion for sparking sustainable growth in both businesses and humans.
