Why did you start your company?
I started RT MicroDx out of both necessity and vision. As someone passionate about improving access to healthcare, I recognized the significant gap in affordable and accessible diagnostic solutions, particularly in home testing. The frustration of witnessing individuals struggle to get timely and accurate diagnoses drove me to create a platform that could bring life-changing diagnostics directly into people’s hands. This wasn’t just about creating another product—it was about empowering communities with the tools they need to take control of their health.
RT MicroDx was built with the belief that healthcare should be proactive, inclusive, and accessible for everyone. I envisioned a world where advanced diagnostic tools are as easy to use as they are effective, breaking down the barriers of cost, convenience, and availability. This mission fuels our daily work, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come in making this vision a reality.
What makes your company unique?
RT MicroDx stands out because of its mission to revolutionize home diagnostics by making advanced testing affordable, accessible, and convenient for everyone. Unlike traditional diagnostic companies that focus on centralized labs or expensive equipment, we are creating a platform that empowers individuals to perform reliable, accurate tests from the comfort of their homes. This unique approach bridges the gap between high-quality diagnostics and everyday accessibility, ensuring that timely healthcare is no longer a privilege but a right.

What’s one valuable piece of advice you would like to pass to other founders going through future Springboard programs?
One piece of valuable advice I would share with future Springboard founders is to prioritize building strong relationships with your advisors from the very beginning. Take the time to get to know each advisor individually, understand their areas of expertise, and identify the unique value they bring to your journey. Each advisor has the potential to offer invaluable insights, open doors to opportunities, and help you navigate challenges, but it’s up to you to engage with them consistently and intentionally.
I highly recommend meeting with your advisors both as a group and one-on-one as often as possible. Group meetings allow for collaborative brainstorming and diverse perspectives, while individual meetings provide the space to dive deeper into specific challenges or ideas. Building these connections early fosters trust and creates a strong foundation for relationships that can last well beyond the program. Remember, your advisors are invested in your success, so lean on them, learn from them, and nurture those relationships—they are one of the most valuable resources Springboard offers.
