With more than 15 years of experience as a senior Sales and Operations executive for some of the world’s most successful companies, Lexa is a seasoned technology leader sought after for building and scaling hyper-growth businesses and teams. Lexa leverages her expertise across multiple business functions to help companies innovate and execute against the goals and objectives that will enable them to transform the industry in which they operate today.
Most recently, Lexa was at Facebook, the world’s fastest growing social media company. She built and led the Online Sales & Operations organization for North America. This was one of Facebook’s three advertising sales & support channels focused on small and medium sized businesses. During her 3 year tenure at Facebook, she tripled the size of the North American team, established a sales and operations presence in multiple geographies, and generated revenue in excess of $1B per year.
Before Facebook, Ms. Pope worked at Google, the world’s premier search engine, for 8 years. As employee #152, Lexa helped launch the company’s first satellite office in New York City. She created and developed the client services organization and program for the North American Advertising Sales teams. In 2004, Lexa relocated to Google’s EMEA headquarters in Dublin, Ireland in order to lead the development of the Online Sales & Operations programs and teams for Europe. After successfully completing this assignment, Lexa moved to Google’s global headquarters in California as Director for the North American AdWords business, which at that time was a $4.4B division with 500+ employees spanning offices around the globe. In 2008, Ms. Pope returned to New York as the Director for Media Platforms Integration, focused on long term strategic planning for Google’s newest business lines, including Display, Audio, Print, TV and Mobile.
Prior to joining Google, Lexa worked at various start ups, as well as in fashion editorial publishing for Glamour and Town & Country magazines.
She received a B.A. from Princeton University with a focus in Political Science. She also is a graduate of Harvard Business School, having completed their Executive Education General Management Program in 2011.
