Caitlyn Krebs is a seasoned life sciences executive, commercial entrepreneur, and recognized expert in the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)—the body’s natural balancing mechanism that regulates key functions such as pain, inflammation, metabolism, mood, sleep, and immune response. With more than 20 years of experience in biotechnology, diagnostics, wellness, and consumer health, she has built and led multiple high-growth companies, commercializing breakthrough technologies at the intersection of science, consumer health, and digital innovation. Her passion lies in leveraging cutting-edge research and AI-driven solutions to develop novel, science-backed products that improve lives.
As Co-Founder & CEO of Nalu Bio, Caitlyn is at the forefront of advancing women’s health by bridging the gap between consumer wellness and prescription therapeutics. Under her leadership, Nalu Bio developed meld, an AI-powered, pharmaceutical-quality women’s wellness brand designed to address sleep, weight management, stress, and mobility. Nalu Bio’s AI-driven Endocannabinoid Discovery Platform applies a GLP-1-style approach to target CB1 and CB2 receptors, creating a multi-tiered market strategy that integrates supplements and future prescription therapeutics.
Before founding Nalu Bio, Caitlyn served as Chief Business Officer of a genomics company focused on early cancer detection, COO of Neurotrack, a digital health company tackling cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease, and VP of Business Development at Rock Health, a venture fund focused on digital health. She has also led business development at multiple biotech startups, including Tethys Bioscience, a diagnostics company focused on diabetes prevention, and Entelos, a modeling and simulation technology company partnering with leading pharmaceutical firms.
Earlier in her career, Caitlyn was President of BayBio, the trade association for the biotech industry in Northern California, where she helped develop the Life Sciences Strategic Action Plan for the Bay Area with Governor Davis’ office. Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, Caitlyn graduated with honors from Brown University with a BS in Biology.
