Shubha K. Chakravarthy is the founder and Chief Financial Storyteller at achiiv, where she helps first-time technical founders craft credible financial strategies to raise capital and build fundable startups. Her work brings an investor’s lens to founder storytelling, bridging financial rigor, startup strategy, and capital fit.
She brings over two decades of leadership experience in financial services, including roles at McKinsey & Company, Allstate Financial, and HSBC, where she managed credit strategy for a large national mortgage portfolio during the post-2008 financial recovery.
Her work with startups includes mentoring and mentor-in-residence stints at STEM-focused accelerators including VentureWell and Springboard Enterprises. She has taught financial storytelling at university accelerators, including deep tech accelerators at the University of Chicago. She has served as a reviewer for federal innovation funding programs and as a judge at startup pitch competitions.
Shubha is a Board Member of the Angel Capital Association, the leading professional association of early-stage angel investors in the United States.
She is the creator and host of Invisible Ink, a podcast with over 75 episodes released that uncovers the truth about building investment-grade startups in STEM.
She holds an MBA (High Honors) in Finance & Strategy from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an MS (Honors) in Financial Markets from Illinois Tech.
