Meet the Panel
Dr. Jin Lee
Former Global Director of Digital Health, Astellas Pharma Rx+
Dr. Jin Lee is a digital health strategist, investor, and entrepreneur. She was most recently the Global Director of Digital Health at Astellas Pharma Inc’s Rx+ Business Accelerator, top 20 pharma in the world. Dr. Lee was formerly a committee member at the American Heart Association and worked in the innovation centers and venture arms of Humana, 4th largest health insurance company, and Providence St. Joseph Health, 3rd largest nonprofit hospital system in the USA. She also confounded and worked in multiple digital health companies in maternal/ child, radiology and education spaces. Based in Silicon Valley, Dr. Lee advises multiple digital health startups and accelerator programs. Dr. Lee received her Ph.D in Child Neuropsychology from the University of Oxford and BA in Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania.
Diane Smith
CCO, MedAware & Entrepreneur in Residence for Digital Health, Springboard
Diane has spent 15 years helping launch device, SaaS, and digital healthcare tech companies in the U.S. market. She’s currently the Chief Commercial Officer at MedAware, an technology company with proprietary AI that detects personal risk of medication related harm. In her role, Diane is leading the company’s adoption and growth in the U.S., bringing MedAware’s best-in-class medication safety monitoring platform to U.S. healthcare professionals, device, payer, and pharmacy partners. Diane is passionate about the healthcare tech startup community and is eager to contribute her firsthand expertise launching other “like” companies to the Springboard community.

Her passion for improving healthcare and unwavering commitment to excellence have cemented her reputation as a leader. Her strategic vision, exceptional communication skills, and talent for building strong teams have enabled her to drive high growth in fast-paced healthcare and technology companies.
